Ordinary language and philosophical methods

Presented by: Fauzia Rahman-Greasley

It is sometimes said that philosophy as truth-seeking has failed. In this talk, I shall draw on innovative methodologies (logics), developed by Paul Grice (1913-1988) and Iris Murdoch (1919-1999), for grappling with ‘ordinary language’ philosophy to show that the idea of the failure of truth-seeking rests on unwarranted assumptions.
