Simon was originally a reporting Radiographer, but then focused on Imaging Informatics (The application of information technology in Radiology). He was also a Senior lecturer at St George’s School of Healthcare for 12 years. His PhD (2014-2020) involved a situated investigation of the Radiologist’s reporting workflow (i.e. observing and modelling the human computer interaction of Radiologists while they interpret medical images and generate radiology reports using complex workstations and radiology computer applications). He is now a Radiology AI Consultant and Imaging Informatics Subject Matter Expert.
