Can robots be philosophers?

Presented by: Peter Gibson

We know that machines can excel at chess, write computer software, and at least assist in new mathematical proofs, but philosophical thinking seems to need a wide range, subtle and creative thought, and unusual conceptual precision, so we will examine the requirements expected of a good philosopher, and whether a machine could ever attain them.

We will consider such topics as consistency, coherence, objectivity, prejudice, presupposition, implications, examples and counterexamples, paradox, and radical scepticism.
